For the restoration i Do not use The same Refinishing Products that inHome & other refinishers may use.. My Products are Chemical/Abrasion resistant & are Heat Treated.. With proper care can Last as Long as you own it!. using Best Quality in refinishing products in the industry (NO Epoxies, Enamels, Urethanes Acrylics, Car Paints, Boat Paints, ETC)
All my Tubs & Sinks are restored using a Special POLYESTER HEAT TREATED Product Developed here on Long Island made specially for TUBS & SINKS ONLY
THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN POWDER COATING & THE ORIGINAL FINISH with proper care can last as long as you own it. Original Porcelain is porous and when a small thin layer wears out pores are exposed creating the discoloration from soap scum build up and near impossible to remove unless use harsh chemicals which removes another thin layer of porcelain & the discoloration process is repeated until the finish has completely has dulled or worn out
My Tubs & Sinks do not compare to Home Depot , Lowes, Vintage Bath Etc.
Acrylic or fiberglass tubs are cheap,usually foreign made and do not last. Even new cast iron are made with a very thin or cheap cast metal not like the thick casting on the tubs made back in the early to mid 1900s
Also they are made out of cheap Acrylic or low quality grade cast iron do not hold the hot water as good as the old thicker cast iron do....
Remember everything made back then was made with quality to last not like most items today made cheaply just for profits

MATERIALS USED TO REFINISH A TUB ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND THE TIME IT TAKES TO GET A TUB READY TO REFINISH CAN TAKE SEVERAL DAYS TO WEEKS, SO IT IS IN MY OPINION ANY TUBS FOR LESS ARE PROBABLY NOT PREPARED PROPERLY AND OR NOT REFINISHED WITH THE RIGHT MATERIALS AND WILL NOT LAST MORE THAN A YEAR.
